Manager, Graduate Research

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) sets the strategic framework within which research at ACU is developed and sustained. As the Manager, Graduate Research, you will provide strategic advice to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) regarding all aspects of Higher Degree Research (HDR), and HDR supervisor accreditation and supervisor accreditation training across all of ACU's seven campuses. 

You will also: 

  • assist in the continuous review and development of policies related to all aspects of HDR candidature
  • establish and maintain an efficient and effective framework for ACU HDR candidature operations
  • establish working relationships with relevant staff to ensure a collaborative approach to all aspects of candidature administration. 

This strategic role would suit someone with an understanding of the Higher Education sector and HDR training, and who can demonstrate experience working with complex databases. You will also need to demonstrate: 

  • completion of a postgraduate degree; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • evidence of ability to show commitment with integrity to the Catholic Identity, Mission and ethos of the University
  • ability to negotiate persuasively, whilst maintaining a high degree of professionalism.

Total remuneration valued to $124,438 - $132,782 pa, including salary component $105,193 - $112,325 pa (Higher Education Worker Level 9), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
