We’re looking for an Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Impact Assessment team. 

Our Environmental Assessment and Approvals business has maintained strong growth in recent years and is currently one of the largest groups in WA, being a leader in impact assessment and approvals, terrestrial ecology, marine, air and noise assessments services. Our diverse team contributes to a wide variety of projects, with a strategic focus on renewable energy, critical minerals and Defence at a regional, national and global scale.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Conducting comprehensive environmental assessments and impact studies in compliance with Australian regulatory frameworks.
  • Leading and contributing to the preparation of high-quality proposals and technical reports following relevant standards and guidelines and as per the requirements set out in the winning work cycle, or as per regional workflows.
  • Project management and coordination, collaborating effectively with project stakeholders to ensure successful client experience in project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and subcontractors, providing clear and concise information and recommendations.
  • Liaise and engage in client interactions for day-to-day delivery of professional services, including attending technical and project-based meetings.
  • Coordinating the work within the team, mentoring junior team members, fostering their professional growth and career development. 
  • Staying up to date on industry trends and best practices, participating in continuous learning and professional development activities.

What you will bring to the team:

  • 5+ years relevant environmental approvals experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Western Australian and Federal environmental legislation.
  • Time management skills and the ability to provide concise and accurate advice/reports.
  • Leading a range of projects/proposals to ensure environmental targets are achieved.
  • Display initiative with the ability to work independently and as a supportive team member.
  • Ability to mentor and coach team members.
  • Bachelor in Environmental Science or other related discipline.
