About the Role

ABC Four Corners, the long running and award winning investigative current affairs program, is seeking a Researcher for a full-time permanent position to join the team. This is a key role requiring strong editorial, journalistic and research skills.

Reporting to the Executive Producer Four Corners and assigned reporters and producers, you will:

• Conduct research on all general information, material and talent necessary to produce a Four Corners program, including the production of detailed research briefs for both broadcast and digital.
• Generate original story ideas, have fresh approaches to breaking stories and maintain a wide range of high profile contacts
• Collaborate with Four Corners staff in producing digital and social content.

About You

As a strong team player with demonstrated experience as an investigative researcher and/or journalist, to be a success in this role you will bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and highly developed research skills.
• Ability to work with a high degree of editorial independence.
• High level of skill in information management and sophisticated understanding of social/digital platforms.  
• A strong network of contacts in politics, business, public policy, law enforcement, science and medicine etc
