The Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) is a leader in applied sustainability research.  For nearly two decades, ISF has worked with government, industry and community organisations domestically and abroad to incorporate sustainability into organisational processes and practices through high quality interdisciplinary research.

About the Role

The Institute for Sustainable Futures is looking for an experienced quantitative modelling specialist who will lead and conduct analytical and statistical research that underpins the Institute’s work across a range of sustainability applications, including water, transport, energy and climate change adaptation.

You will be responsible for leading and developing the modelling and analytical staff as well as mentoring and developing the quantitative capabilities of the Institute’s staff more broadly. Your passion for using quantitative approaches will augment your ability to gather a client’s requirements and to develop and communicate modelling approaches and data-driven insights and results for non-technical audiences.

You will display a balance of being able to develop and maintain external relationships and opportunities, while collaborating effectively with internal staff. Your demonstrated project management experience will enable you to direct and manage multiple, concurrent quantitative research projects from the proposal stage through to successful delivery.

What will help you succeed in this role

  • Extensive hands on experience undertaking data analysis and modelling
  • Demonstrated high level mathematical ability and conceptual modelling skills
  • Extensive skills in the use of statistical methods
  • Experience managing quantitative projects including the scripting of elements, with direct programming skills being high regarded

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary Range: $94,147 to $107,732 pa
