At Monash, work feels different. There’s a sense of belonging, from contributing to something groundbreaking – a place where great things happen.

We value difference and diversity, and welcome and celebrate everyone's contributions, lived experience and expertise. That’s why we champion an inclusive and respectful workplace culture where everyone is supported to succeed.

The Opportunity

The Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) opened in 2009. Since then, it has made major contributions to the next generation of discoveries in regenerative medicine and stem cell research. This would not be possible without the efforts of its researchers, management boards, committees, professional staff, stakeholders, and generous donors.

Crucial to the success of ARMI is the Institute Manager. The Institute Manager will actively participate as a key member of the ARMI leadership team to drive the ARMI sustainability and growth agenda and continue to position ARMI as a national and international leader in regenerative medicine.

The position will work closely with the ARMI Director, leadership and senior stakeholders across external partners, government, the Faculty and its Schools and Departments, as well as University central portfolios to steer and implement strategy, operational planning, engagement and partnership development and opportunities to deliver the ARMI objectives.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Institute, including directly overseeing staff, managing budgets in collaboration with the Director, and ensuring that the Institute is operating at peak efficiency.

Please review the Position Description for further responsibilities in this dynamic and challenging new leadership role.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field and extensive experience at senior management level within a complex management environment; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

If this sounds like a position that suits your current career focus we look forward to hearing from you.

Diversity is one of our greatest strengths at Monash. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with disabilities, neurodiverse people, and people of all genders, sexualities, and age groups.
