The Institute for Health and Ageing (IHA) aims to enhance the lives of older people and those who support them through a multidisciplinary lens across a range of settings. IHA’s approach is multi-faceted and highly collaborative, and draws upon staff and research partners to find effective, novel and sustainable responses to issues associated with ageing. 

As a Research Assistant working within the Built Environment research stream in IHA, you will: 

• assist with the day-to-day coordination of the project activities in consultation with the Principal Investigator
• maintain and update established administrative systems and procedures for the project.
• interview aged-care residents to collect health data in accordance with protocol and procedural guidelines
• perform data entry and data cleaning in a manner consistent with ethics guidelines and University procedures.

You will need to demonstrate: 

• completion of a degree in a relevant discipline, such as aged care, nursing, allied health, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education
• strong computing skills including the willingness to learn new systems and programs
• high-level interpersonal skills, a service orientation and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively independently and as part of a team
• evidence of ability to show commitment with integrity to the Catholic Identity, Mission and ethos of the University.

Total remuneration valued to $77,813 - $84,321 pa, including salary component $65,753 - $71,252 pa (HEW Level 5), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
