About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but growing Clinical Affairs team and with the support of the Senior Manager you will be responsible for the designing and conducting clinical studies of our products as well as research areas of infection control.  You will be working.

The essential responsibilities of this role are:

  • Review of standards, guidelines and literature to develop safety and efficacy requirements
  • Literature reviews including to assess hazards and risks
  • Oversee the development of clinical testing protocols, study procedures and statistical analysis plans
  • Contribute your ideas on study design and publication strategies
  • Assist with identification of investigators and site selection nationally and internationally
  • Liaison for external stakeholders including clinical research organisations, statistical consultants and principal investigators
  • Report internally on the progress and finding of studies
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems and documentation would be highly regarded

About you

You will have a background in in microbiology, epidemiology, or biochemistry with solid experience in designing and running clinical studies, ideally within a commercial setting.  You will be part of a n highly collaborative cross-functional team but will be comfortable to take ownership of your projects with minimal supervision.  Your high-level communication and presentation skills will be essential to build and maintain a strong and diverse internal and external network of stakeholders.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience within a commercial product research and development setting, ideally in infection control or microbiology
  • At least 5 years’ experience in clinical research including protocol development statistical analysis, data collection and study reports
  • Post-grad qualification in a life sciences research discipline (or similar commercial experience)
  • Experienced with laboratory procedures and equipment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • An agile, flexible and proactive mindset to master a fast-paced environment
