The Western Australian Government has announced the finalists for the 2011 Western Australian Science Awards, marking the awards’ 20th year.

 

State Science and Innovation Minister John Day congratulated the ‘diverse range of outstanding achievements in science’ of this year’s applicants and finalists.

 

“The achievements of all applicants and finalists are highly commendable and it is fantastic to see the science and innovation sector in WA achieving results which not only benefit the State, but are also applied internationally,” Mr Day said.

 

Award winners and the 2011 Inductee to the Science Hall of Fame will be announced at a presentation dinner hosted by the Minister on Thursday December 8 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
