A new program, Inspiring Australia, has been established to encourage Australians to pursue science and research in their careers, with amalgamated funding of $21 million  over three years.

 

The program includes:

 

  • the current Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science and the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes ($3 million over three years);
  • a new national hub for science and technology communications ($2.4 million over three years),
  • and a program called Unlocking Australia’s full potential  which will fund National Science Week and other science events ($15.6 million over three years).
