Partnerships between Government, industry, academia, unions and small business have been demonstrated in a new report from the Built Environment Industry Innovation Council.

Two years of consultation between industry and the Council has informed its Recommendations Report.

It focuses on four themes: Better Practice; Cooperative Research; Design Leadership; and Enabling Regulation and Procurement, with 10 recommendations for positioning the industry to achieve greater global competitiveness.

It outlines opportunities for collaboration between industry and government, including support for research institutes, skills training organisations and developing sustainable buildings and neighbourhoods.
