About the role
The Research Manager is responsible to effectively and efficiently develop and manage the performance and cohesion of the Research Unit within Sydney Local Health District; to manage financial, operational and human resource activities of the unit. To promote the unit at a state, national and international level, as a preferred site for quality research. To manage and conduct high quality clinical and health services research to improve health outcomes for patients, to foster local participation in translational research and promotion of evidence-based practice across multidisciplinary fields.

We are looking for someone who has… 
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience. 
  • Experience in conducting research in a health service environment with experience in data analysis and performance reporting.
  • Sound understanding of research, ethics and governance processes; Experience in preparing, submitting and managing research applications.
