JCU Cairns offers an opportunity for a Lecturer on a continuing, full-time basis ($94,056 - $110,981 plus 17% super) to strengthen the Discipline of Information Technology by contributing to research and teaching as well as pursuing opportunities for innovation-driven partnerships.
What you can accomplish in the role
Injecting renewed vision and focus, you will teach in undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as conduct independent research activity to build our reputation as educators that empower JCU students to ideate solutions built for people.
The Lecturer, Information Technology, will undertake research and teaching within the Information Technology discipline in addition to providing administrative, marketing and outreach support for both the academic group and the University.
What you will bring to the role
You will have a relevant PhD qualification or equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science, coupled with demonstrated capacity to successfully supervise honours or postgraduate research students. To ensure your success with inspiring and engaging the interest and enthusiasm of students, you will also have a strong track record of professional and tangible research-related accomplishments, including peer-reviewed publications and/or presentations.
