We now have a full time (36.25 hours) two year appointment for a Clinical Research Workerto join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU). This position is based at the Townsville campus in picturesque North Queensland, where you can enjoy a tropical lifestyle whilst achieving your career goals.
You will have the opportunity to recruit patients to, and assess participants for clinical studies and trials. You will also collect accurate outcome data; monitor data quality and implement data management procedures, including the use of appropriate software and requirements under the various research contracts.
You will work closely with the Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator and/or the Head of QRC-PVD, Professor Golledge to assist in the establishment and operation of clinical trials and coordinate their successful completion as directed.
We are seeking a degree qualified and/ or experienced researcher with an understanding of Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, including ethics issues in patient based clinical research and clinical research across teams in various sites. You will have previous experience in the coordination and management of clinical trials with an ability to understand medical terminology. Your excellent ability to communicate effectively and confidently with people from a variety of backgrounds coupled with your organisational, project management and time management skills will ensure your success in this position.
