The Role

• Continuing, Full Time
• Level C/D - $112,840 to $149,686 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
• Wagga Wagga

As a senior academic in Ruminant Health and Production you will be expected to provide leadership within the Production Animal Team, and contribute to teaching in the veterinary undergraduate program and other courses delivered by the School. The role also includes expectations of research productivity, supervision of research students, as appropriate, and a broad engagement with livestock industries as well as participation in the development and provision of clinical and/or consulting services to livestock producers as a part of a veterinary clinical service. Administrative activities within the School and Faculty are also required.

To be successful you will have:

• A doctoral qualification relevant to the discipline area
• Current registration or be eligible for registration in NSW with the Veterinary Practitioners Board as a practicing veterinarian
• A record of significant achievement relevant to ruminant health, and at a national / international level
• Demonstrated experience in the area of ruminant health and production
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, independently and provide effective leadership in an academic setting
• Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships, networks and relationships locally and internationally with livestock and related industries
