About the Role
The Leader - Soils South position leads a research and development team focussed on soil management to improve the productivity and sustainability of agriculture in NSW within the NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) Agricultural branch. You will be responsible for leading a high performance team in the development and implementation of innovative research and development projects that underpin soil management for economic and sustainability outcomes.
The successful applicant will drive the development of new research programs and identify funding opportunities, while building and maintaining collaborative relationships across NSW DPI, other government agencies and key stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
There is also an opportunity for candidates to have a role in team R&D projects or lead their own small R&D portfolio.

There is a strong preference for this position to be located in Wagga Wagga, however, for an outstanding candidate, an alternative inland location in Southern NSW at a major DPI Agriculture site may be negotiated.
