Research Fellow - Clinton Bedogni Fellowship in Open Systems Research

 

The Department of Computer Science is New Zealand's top PBRF-ranked computer science department. With over 50 academic staff it performs research in a wide range of computing fields. It teaches into Bachelors of Science and Engineering programmes as well as supporting a vibrant postgraduate programme which attract quality Masters and PhD candidates.

The Department of Computer Science is seeking an early career researcher likely to become a future leader in the field of open systems research, to take up the position of Research Fellow at the University of Auckland.

We are seeking regarded researchers working on any aspect of open systems to join our diverse and internationally renowned Department of Computer Science. The definition of open systems is broad and includes interoperable systems with standards-based and well documented frameworks of functionality and interfaces (preferably free and open-source, however this is not a requirement).

The Department is interested in esteemed candidates from any field within Computer Science, whose research impacts on open systems. Research alignment with any of the major research groupings within the department would be advantageous. These broad research groups include: software engineering; intelligent systems and informatics; theory, and systems development and evaluation.
