Energy Pipelines CRC is a Cooperative Research Centre undertaking applied research principally for the Australian pipeline industry.

Over the first six years of its term, the company has developed a strong track record of delivering value to the industry through its research and education programs. Investing organisations include large Australian and international companies as well as small and medium local companies.

The Company currently delivers innovative, quickly implementable applied research solutions to industry and the government. Utilising the skills of four major universities the research areas range from highly technical metallurgical research, through practical construction and asset management solutions and across into sociological based research directed principally towards improving safety.

Over the previous 18 months, the Board and management of Energy Pipelines CRC has been engaged in a process that has positioned the company for a sustainable and successful future. A new Business Plan has been developed, the Board has been refreshed and management structures have been reviewed.

About the Role

The organisation is seeking to appoint a new CEO to lead the transition through the next phase of expansion and diversification of business.  The role offers an exciting opportunity to take this Company from a primarily government funded entity to a broadly funded commercial operation, with a sustainable and successful horizon.

The role reports to the Board of the Company and is located in Wollongong.

• Entrepreneurship and business acumen;
• Credibility in applied research and commercialisation activities
• Deep understanding of government processes and funding initiatives.
