Senior Coordinator, Research Development

  • Full-time, fixed term 3 year position, based at the Hawthorn campus

A Senior Coordinator, Research Development is required to support research development activities aimed at rapidly improving Swinburne University's research funding performance and involvement in high value, strategically important research programs. The role will have a focus on the development of tender submissions, large research consortia and multi-party ventures.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Completion of a relevant postgraduate tertiary qualification (PhD or Masters) with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Track record of achievement in the development and management of major research funding proposals or tender submissions, and/ or successful business case development in industry, government or consulting environment.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely taking account of different audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective networks, develop relationships and partnerships with a wide range of external partners.
