The Opportunity

The Australian Centre for Financial Studies (ACFS) has an exciting career opportunity for a research officer who can write about complex financial problems in simple and accessible language.  Familiarity with Australia's finance sector is desirable and an aptitude for inquiry is essential.  Interested candidates should excel at identifying good research questions and above all be curious about the development of Australia's financial services industry. 

Graduates, preferably with work experience who have the capabilities to construct evidence-based arguments and make sound recommendations for the financial services industry will have the opportunity to fine tune their capabilities at ACFS.  

In this challenging and rewarding position the research officer will be responsible for performing a range of activities including project administration, applied research in finance and report writing. You will work with the Executive Director and Research Director in developing and implementing the ACFS research program. The successful applicants should have proven project management and communication skills. 

Our researchers work autonomously in a cooperative setting, often in the company of senior academics and industry experts.
