The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health has more than 600 staff and students who are passionately committed to researching the way the brain works. We are internationally renowned for our discoveries and research on the central nervous system and associated brain disorders.

Key areas of interest include addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, depression, epilepsy, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, stroke and traumatic and spinal cord injury.

About the role:

An excellent opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join an outstanding team of scientists and staff, and work within the Neurorehabilitation and Recovery Group at our Heidelberg facility.

The candidate will contribute to the project coordination for the specialist SENSe Therapy Centre (STC) within this multi-state, multi-site partnership between Austin Health, The Florey and La Trobe University. You will also take responsibility for the clinical trial co-ordination and liaison aspects of the research at the Heidelberg site.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  •  Relevant tertiary qualification for entry to practice as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • Experience working in project management and coordination
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and collaboration skills that allows building effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and groups.

The salary on offer is in the range of $79,071 (RA5) - $82,088 (RA6) – pro-rata 0.4 FTE, commensurate with experience, plus generous superannuation and salary packaging options.
