The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health has more than 600 staff and students who are passionately committed to researching the way the brain works. We are internationally renowned for our discoveries and research on the central nervous system and associated brain disorders.

Key areas of interest include addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, depression, epilepsy, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, stroke and traumatic and spinal cord injury.

About the role:

An excellent opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join an outstanding team of scientists and staff, and work within the Stroke Group at our Heidelberg facility.

The candidate will be responsible for the oversight and conduct of duties relating to clinical research and clinical trials project delivery that have been delegated to the role. This position will oversee and manage relevant projects and take an overall decision-making role in all day-to-day operations of the project in consultation and agreement with the executive management.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree in life sciences or health related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in clinical project management and multi-centre studies
  • An in depth understanding of local and global regulatory clinical research requirement within Australia and participating countries
  • Strong attention to details in written and oral communication

The salary on offer is in the range of $89,686 (HEW 7-5) to $93,146 (HEW 8-1) commensurate with experience, plus generous superannuation and salary packaging options.
