The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is an interdisciplinary research institute of Western Sydney University. Research at MARCS is conducted in five interdisciplinary research programs: Biomedical Engineering & Neuroscience, Human-Machine Interaction, Multisensory Communication, Music Cognition & Action and Speech & Language.

The Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience Program in the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is seeking a Technical Officer with high level skills and expertise in the area electronic engineering and/or computer science and/or biomedical engineering.

The Technical Officer will support project researchers in all aspects of the research. The research project is funded by a Cooperative Research Centre Project “Targeted therapy for sleep apnoea: A novel personalised approach” and in association with Oventus Medical Ltd, Medical Monitoring Solution Pty Ltd, CSIRO and Neuroscience Research Australia.  The project concerns the evaluation of wearable solutions for sleep monitoring applications (VitalCore technology).

We are seeking an energetic, organised Technical Officer who is able to work and communicate in an interdisciplinary team environment.

This is a Part-Time (0.5 FTE), Fixed-term position for 3 years, based at our Kingswood campus.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 $85,316 to$91,481 p.a. (comprising salary $76,971 to $82,533 p.a. plus superannuation and leave loading)
