UTS: Graduate Research School is recruiting for a Manager Graduate Researcher Development to be responsible for leading the coordination and implementation of the UTS pan-university research and development program(s) for Higher Degree Research students and supervisors. The Manager will work with academic and professional staff and HDR students across the university to develop the conceptual framework and pedagogical principles of the program, and, design, develop and deliver (or procure) and evaluate online, face-to-face and blended education and development offerings. Tertiary degree or equivalent experience required. Experience as a researcher or in a research environment or in research training desirable.

The key purpose of the Graduate Research School is to produce the next generation of researchers and graduates who can lead their profession and their industries. The organisational structure and work of the school is based on three strategic priorities, growth and capacity, researcher development and research quality. These three priorities capture both the functions of the school as well as the future direction of research and researcher education at UTS.

Main duties/responsibilities:
• Design, develop and deliver a high-quality program to engage and support UTS HDR students to develop research projects and career based skills
• Development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives in alignment with UTS 2027, Fit for 2027 and the Connected Higher Degree Research Experience (CoHDRE) projects
• With respect to a pan-university agenda in research training, education and development, consult with other areas in the University that are also engaged in delivery of higher degree research training, to deliver a coordinated and coherent program
• Engage with HDR students to identify training and development needs
• Engage with HDR supervisors to identify training and development needs
• Manage end to end delivery of events, workshops and other elements – on campus and online
• Work with the UTS Canvas learning platform, and Canvas Learning Designers, in the transition to Canvas as the primary learning system for HDR students and supervisors
• Collect, analyse and respond to data and feedback to inform development of an ongoing program into the future

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $120,584 to $126,325 pa (HEW 9)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
