The Institute for Sustainable Futures is recruiting a highly talented and experienced researcher for a Research Assistant/ Research Consultant role, to work on innovative research projects in sustainability.

The Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) at UTS undertakes game-changing sustainability research.  Established for 20 years, ISF works with thought leaders in government, industry and community organisations, in Australia and internationally, to create change towards sustainable futures.  Sustainability research is also a key pillar supporting UTS’s ambition to be a world-leading university of technology.  Beyond a vibrant new campus in Sydney’s creative precinct, at the heart of UTS are exceptional people.

We are looking for a researcher to undertake structured, high quality and innovative applied research using analytical methods.  Your quantitative background in economics, computer science, finance or engineering will be complemented by experience working on interdisciplinary research projects.

Your track record of successful project management will enable you to play an integral part in a dynamic research team. You will have the ability to work in a commercial, team-based environment to deliver high quality project-based research.

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $66,945 to $84,082 pa (HEW 5/6)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed termbasis for 2 years.
