Diabetes SA has been delivering services to people with diabetes and their families since 1953. As a not for profit, member-based Association that is largely self-funded, our mission is to educate, advocate, support and fund research that provides better outcomes for people living with, or at risk of, diabetes.

Empowering people to live well with diabetes and raising awareness for those at risk is our vision for all South Australians. 

We are seeking a Health & Research Support Officer to join the Health & Research team, in a part-time capacity. The role will work closely with the existing Health & Service Delivery & the Research team to  support administrative functions relating to health service provision and the Research and Program Development Manager in support of administrative tasks supporting preparation of reports, maintenance of systems for data collection and reporting. 

Essential criteria:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in an administrative environment 
  • A track record of several years’ experience working within a small business environment, non-government agency or as part of a larger business operation with demonstrated responsibility for administrative or compliance activities.
  • Experience working in a networked computer environment utilising a range of software packages and standard applications such as e-mail, databases, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of good administrative work practice
  • Skilled at preparing written communications such as policies, procedures, work instructions and general administrative documents that are well presented, grammatically correct and accurate. 
  • Has the ability to work on a number of tasks concurrently and continually reprioritise to demonstrate progress and achieve objectives.
  • Skilled in the management of tasks or projects through demonstrated planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
  • High level interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills
  • Able to work individually to achieve outcomes or collectively as part of a team
  • Skills in Excel and Word at an intermediate level.

Above Award remuneration is on offer supported by the conditions provided in the Clerks Private Sector Award 2020. Salary packaging is also offered.
