GENERAL INFORMATION
The newly established Centre for Resources Health and Safety sits within the Faculty of Health and Medicine and is a component Centre of the University of Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources. This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a diverse and productive research group in a growing field, with support to develop research career goals and achievements The CRHS draws on the multidisciplinary expertise of University researchers spanning disciplines including workplace health and safety, public health, (including mental health, respiratory studies and environmental impacts), to meet sector demand in this area and facilitate industry and government collaborations for the benefit of communities in resource intensive regions
About the role
Collaborate with members of the Centre for Resources Health and Safety to develop and implement a research program addressing target projects across the priority areas identified within the CRHS. Develop research grant applications, prepare research reports and manuscripts for publication, conduct conference presentations and participate in CRHS research development activities, including engagement with industry, government and other external stakeholders. Undertake research in at least two key priority areas of the CRHS. This role will contribute to increasing research strength and output as well as development of an early career researcher.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
This position is available on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. This is a 0.5 role (17.5 hours)
CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS
Academic Level A Postdoctoral - $77,225 - $82,895 per annum + 9.5% superannuation.
