Data Assurance Analyst

  • Remuneration - $105,680 - $128,849 plus 15% superannuation

The opportunity

Icon Water's Customer Engagement team is looking for an analytically minded, data savvy and enthusiastic individual to be our Data Assurance Analyst.

In this role, you will be responsible for extracting, collating and reviewing meter data exceptions and assuring related data integrity to support timely, accurate and quality billing processes for customers and to minimise revenue leakage.

What would my day look like?

  • Design, validate and maintain customer, billing and meter data reports and associated KPI dashboards.
  • Extract and interrogate customer, billing and meter data to provide meaningful business insights to inform process improvement in the meter-to-cash revenue chain.
  • Identify, investigate and support the resolution of exceptions between meter data, billing data, geospatial information and other sources to support timely and accurate customer billing.
  • Improve the customer experience by performing proactive analytical review of billing and metering and customer data reports to prevent customer billing and payment errors.
  • Proactively and reactively recommend actions to address known gaps in financial control points, reconciliations, business processes, procedures and performance across the revenue value chain.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant Qualifications in Data Management, Business Analysis or related disciplines
  • Ability to extract and transform data to identify potential business process gaps related to the meter-to-cash revenue chain
  • Ability to review, understand and validate data reports to assure accuracy
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools and knowledge of Icon Water databases and billing systems, or ability to rapidly acquire a sound knowledge.
  • A sound knowledge of data transformation and analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Proven relationship management and communication skills with the ability to cultivate positive and collaborative working relationships, and effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge of SharePoint document management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation of high-quality written analysis reports for consideration by senior management.

Desirable

  • Experience working with data within a utility or telecommunications retail environment is desirable
