The Grants Office forms part of Research Support and Governance in the Support Division. It provides support to all QIMR Berghofer researchers at every stage of the grant process, including pre- and post-award administration, financial management and compliance with funding body requirements.

In this role, you will: coordinate all aspects of pre- and post-award research grant administration including research application submissions, financial management of all cost centres, expenditure statements and reporting; assist in establishing Collaborative Research Agreements; provide information, support or advice to all levels of Institute staff on research grant-related matters; liaise with research grant funding agencies and other collaborating researchers or research organisations both within Australia and overseas and develop and advertise grant funding opportunities to QIMR Berghofer's researchers.

The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications and experience in the administration of grants including budgeting, cost accounting, and preparation of management reports and financial statements.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting demands and multiple priorities  and problem solving skills is essential as is highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact easily with all levels of staff.  Tertiary qualifications in a health and medical research related field and/or experience in research grant management will be highly regarded.  Looking to start early November.

Salary range is $80,329 - $87,392 per annum plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits.  This is a permanent full-time appointment.
