The Role

This position, which is suitable for a mid to senior level scientist (R7-R9), will report directly to the Science Team Leader, Food Nutrition & Health. This is a newly created role designed to identify unique innovative opportunities, converting them into successful R&D proposals. You will contribute and lead projects across a variety of disciplines relevant to pastoral industry priorities. You will be charged with networking and establishing strong relationships with other scientific leaders to build on our capability area and reputation.

Duties

• Identify new opportunities for delivering R&D solutions
• Develop and implement high quality research and product plans
• Mentor up and coming scientists to enhance the science capability
• Present at internationals conferences, serve on journal review panels etc

You Will

• Have an International reputation for scientific excellence
• Have a PhD and subsequent 5+ years' experience of research (R7-R9)
• Have a track record in microbiome research
• Demonstrate specific experience within human nutrition, microbiome and host physiology
• Be a strong leader who is able to mentor and communicate with your colleagues effectively
• Have proven delivery of successful R&D proposals
• Be able to show examples of your work including published work and conferences
• Have excellent communication skills to develop partnerships with key stakeholders and other industry leaders
• Be able to develop and implement high quality research and product plans
