About the Role
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Research Officer (RO) to work with our team at the Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Research (CNMR).

CNMR is a collaborative research centre supported by the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Western Sydney University and the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD). CNMR facilitates and supports research collaborations between nurses, midwives and academics. The CNMR team work closely with the clinical facilities across NBMLHD and the majority of projects are in collaboration with clinicians focussing on areas such as nursing and midwifery practice, promoting patient and women’s health outcomes and service development.

The RO position will work closely with the Associate Professors of Nursing and Midwifery and clinical researchers to support their research projects using various methods.

This is a full-time position, based at Nepean Hospital ending 31st December 2025.

About You
The RO position will require an applicant with the ability to facilitate literature reviews to inform research ethics proposals, the ability to collect and analyse both qualitative and quantitative data and to translate findings into high quality research outputs such as high impact peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.

The successful RO will also have excellent communication skills to work in teams as well as autonomously. The ability to coordinate multiple active projects concurrently will also be highly favourable.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 $100,670 to $107,945 p.a. (comprising Salary of $85,067 to $91,215 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
