We offer an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory & Technical Support Scientist to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU). About the position
Joining a dynamic team of professionals you will provide technical support for all diagnostic clinical pathology operations including haematology, cytology, biochemistry, coagulation, urinalysis and microbiology. You will also test samples submitted to the JCU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory for teaching and research purposes.
Key duties:
About you
With a degree qualification in Applied Science, Medical Laboratory Science or related field, you will demonstrate skills in diagnostic laboratory procedures (preferably with a veterinary focus) which include haematology, coagulation, biochemistry, endocrinology, urinalysis and microbiology. You will also demonstrate competency in all facets of operation and maintenance of a range of clinical pathology analysers, techniques and laboratory information systems (LIMS).
