About the role
We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our NAL team. The Department of Communication Sciences at NAL is seeking a researcher with a track record in research areas concerning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. The position represents a unique opportunity for the right person to make a substantial difference to the lives of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children with hearing and/or communication problems.
The successful candidate will lead and/or contribute to projects to map existing services, improve early identification of hearing and communication problems in young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and contribute to the reduction of avoidable hearing loss. You will work closely with other research scientists, audiologists, and speech pathologists and provide strong input into existing projects of the team. You will also develop and seek funding for new projects that are consistent with the strategic objectives of NAL.
