CSIRO Early Research Career (CERC) Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to scientists and engineers who have completed their doctorate and have less than three years of relevant postdoctoral work experience. These fellowships aim to develop the next generation of future leaders of the innovation system.
The CERC Fellow will be joining a multidisciplinary team spanning research groups in CSIRO Manufacturing (Devices and Engineered Systems) and the University of Melbourne (Schools of Chemistry and Physics).
The CERC Fellow will lead the development of a nitrogen vacancy diamond (NVD)-based quantum sensor that can be used for NMR measurements for several chemistry applications. In cooperation with experienced practitioners in the field of NVD sensing systems, the CERC Fellow will be required to incorporate a pre-fabricated NVD substrate into a prototype system that will demonstrate NMR measurements, such as basic analyte detection and chemical reaction monitoring. To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian/New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian temporary resident currently residing in Australia and be able to commence in the role by 30 June 2022.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain and provide a National Police Check or equivalent.
