CSIRO is the national science agency that undertakes research to make life better for Australia and Australians. Missions are large-scale scientific and collaborative research initiatives aimed at making significant breakthroughs. Through missions we aim to accelerate the pace and scale at which the nation can solve each challenge and unlock a better future.
The Drought Resilience Mission’s aims to reduce the impacts of drought by 30% by 2030. Launched in September 2021, this Mission is one of four CSIRO has launched. As the Deputy Mission lead, your role is to develop and deliver on the goal of the Mission. This will involve engagement internally across the organisation with capability leaders whose staff are deployed to Mission projects, the Missions Office that oversee the governance and reporting of the Mission and externally with Mission partners, collaborators and end users of Mission research.
Location: Canberra, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide preferred, other locations may be considered
Salary: AU$141k – AU$157k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be eligible to work in CSIRO you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or either hold, or be able to obtain, a valid working visa.
