  • Do you want to advance your scientific knowledge & experience?
  • Contribute to the development of low emissions network of the future
  • Join CSIRO – Australia’s leading scientific research organisation!

CSIRO Early Research Career (CERC) Postdoctoral Fellowships provide opportunities to scientists and engineers who have completed their doctorate and have less than three years of relevant postdoctoral work experience. These fellowships aim to develop the next generation of future leaders of the innovation system.

In this Postdoctoral Fellow role, you will develop data driven models for estimating real time grid emissions from networks.  You will create new models, software and technology to optimally manage real time emissions using onsite and offsite generation sources, storage systems and flexible consumption devices.

Your duties will include:

  • Establish ways to obtain real time emissions data for various energy sources.
  • Develop data driven algorithms for forecasting real time emissions.
  • Support development of carbon accounting applications (tools).
  • Demonstrate utility of the models through case studies.
  • Document and report results suitable for scientific dissemination.
