The Opportunity
The Junior Physicist – Experimental Scientist role will initially focus on assisting in the development of X-ray technologies, such as X-ray Fluorescence and X-ray Diffraction, for industry. The position offers considerable variety, tackling scientific, engineering and logistical challenges across a range of different research projects and supporting industry trials. There is flexibility within the role for a successful applicant to use or develop their own skills and expertise to contribute to existing projects and to make a contribution to new capability development. Significant work is envisaged planning experiments, operating instrumentation in the laboratory and commission instrumentation in the field (usually mineral processing plants on mine sites).
