The position:
CSIRO Postdoctoral Fellowships help facilitate the recruitment and development of our potential leaders. They provide valuable opportunities for scientists and engineers to launch their careers, extend professional networks and enhance their career prospects.
As a Postdoctoral Fellow with CSIRO Health and Biosecurity, you will join our team at the Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC). The AEHRC delivers solutions to improve patient flow through Australia’s healthcare system. In this key role, you will support the development of novel software-based tools that model, analyse and provide insight and solutions to identified challenges in Australia’s hospitals and healthcare system, with a view to improving health service delivery.
Contributing to collaborative projects between the e-Health Research Program and other health partners, you will advance the science behind mathematical and algorithmic techniques for managing hospital patient flow processes and resources. You will produce high impact publications describing the contributions to knowledge made and help improve evidence driven patient flow management in Australia’s healthcare system. We also anticipate the identification of potential commercialisation opportunities stemming from your postdoctoral research project.

Salary: AU $83 to AU $91k per annum, plus up to 15.4% superannuation
