User Researcher - User Stories, Journey maps- Federal Government

A reputable Federal Government Departments is looking to engage a highly skilled Behavioural Insights Practitioner to work within the departments communications team to support major technology change projects. The successful Behavioural Insights Practitioner will be offered an Initial contract until March 2023 with 12 month extension options and the opportunity to work Canberra.

The successful Behavioural Insights Practitioner will be responsible for, but not limited to;

• Undertaking complex or sensitive user research projects and useability testing Identify UX objectives for projects.
• Developing User Research Plans and determine the appropriate UX research methods/techniques to achieve the project objectives.
• Developing artefacts including User Personas, User Stories, site maps, journey maps, etc. * Manage recruitment of participants.
• Working collaboratively with development teams on designs, prototypes and wireframes.

The successful Behavioural Insights Practitioner must have experience in the following;

• Demonstrated experience with User Research methodologies.
• Ability to work with web design toolsets such as Adobe XD and/or Axure.
• Demonstrated experience in creating, conducting and delivering high-profile research findings or designs to a range of audiences.
• Demonstrated experience with the Australian Government's Digital Service Standard, WCAG AA compliance or website government standards.
