The National Ageing Research is located in Parkville on the grounds of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Park Campus. NARI aims to be the centre of excellence in Australia for research into ageing and improving the quality of life and health of older people.

The Melbourne Ageing Research Collaboration (MARC), led by the National Ageing Research Institute (NARI), is a partnership of twelve organisations, with support from the state government, that have joined forces to bring about systemic change to improve the quality of life of older people.

We are currently looking for senior Development Manager to take a key role in strengthening and further developing MARC.

The key responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Establish and formalise a comprehensive governance structure for the collaboration, including development of a membership matrix
  • Support and strengthen existing collaboration activities
  • Formalise links with existing interstate and international collaborators to create a network
  • Develop the collaboration’s formal strategy for influencing policy at all government levels
  • Secure ongoing funding for the collaboration to ensure its sustainability through philanthropic and competitive funding streams
