Research Trial Coordinator/ Data Manager Nuclear Medicine


The Nuclear Medicine Department of the Royal North Shore Hospital Is looking for a part-time Research Trial co-ordinator / Data Manager to support the department’s active research program. This position would suit an individual with a strong interest in clinical research in a dynamic area of medical research.

Where you'll be working

The position would be based at the RNSH (Royal North Shore Hospital) campus, contracted initially for a three year period with the possibility of an extension based on ongoing funding.

The RNSH Nuclear Medicine department provides a comprehensive diagnostic (SPECT, SPECT/CT and PET/CT) and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine service. There is an active research program in the department that includes local, national and international clinical trial collaborations.

What you'll be doing

The Research Trial Co-ordinator / Data Manager works closely with researchers and clinical staff within the Department of Nuclear Medicine to co-ordinate and manage clinical trial activities.

The position is responsible for the conduct of clinical trials and studies in the Department of Nuclear Medicine. This will include participant co-ordination, data collection, patient supervision while in the department, as well as data management and preparation of trial-related documentation.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  2. Tertiary qualification at a graduate level in a health or science discipline or equivalent research/clinical trial experience including an understanding of the ethics submission process in a hospital environment
  3. Demonstrated understanding of and experience in clinical trials methodology and governance requirements
  4. Highly computer literate with demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of standard office software applications and electronic case report forms.
  5. Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data integrity
  6. Ability to work effectively without supervision
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills. To be able to liaise with relevant key stakeholders
