Apply your high-level skills to strengthen and advance the research efforts of CDU in the Office of Research and Innovation.

Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) existing research portfolio is impressive for a small, youthful university. CDU is ranked in the top 2 percent of world universities and 31st in the top 100 universities in the world under 50 years of age. CDU’s research intensity ranks alongside that of members of the Group of Eight research-intensive universities, a fact easily hidden by CDU’s size.

Overseen by the Director of Research, and located in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President (Research and Research Training), the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) delivers high quality centralised research service across CDU. This support includes business development and grant submissions, post award administration, ethics and integrity, higher degree research (HDR) student administration, research training for research staff and students, HDR scholarship management and training, and the collection, analysis and reporting of CDU’s research activities.

As the Executive Officer, you will undertake a range of high level tasks to strengthen and advance the research efforts of CDU. The role takes responsibility and supports the identification and implementation of special projects, strategic initiatives, research and analysis to inform management on strategic issues relating to research, and strengthening ORI’s business processes. The position is part of the ORI management team, which actively promotes an environment which strives for quality, excellence, respect and appreciation of others, reflection and continuous improvement.

To be successful you will need a relevant postgraduate qualification or progress towards postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience in shaping strategic thinking and advancing reform initiatives.
