What you'll be doing
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.

Support the SESLHD Research Directorate and research units in the achievement of business and research objectives. The role supports researchers with all aspects of business management including the development of project budgets, review of contracts, management of intellectual property and the appointment of research staff. The role provides advice, support and direction for efficient management of available resources to achieve outcomes.

Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or a Business-related field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  2. Experience in research governance at financial, operational and strategic levels.
  3. Demonstrated skills in managing a number of projects concurrently, with varying timeframes and workloads, in a high volume work environment.
  4. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  5. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
  6. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated ability to manage an operational budget.
  8. Current drivers licence and ability to undertake some travel within the district.
