What you'll be doing
To provide a standard of excellence for all patients by implementing and maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment.

The clinical research nurse is responsible for providing clinical support for clinical research projects. The position involves trial management, patient recruitment, interview and vaccination, taking blood samples, database entry, data management and other research activities.

  • Registered Nurse with a current license to practice from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Knowledge of clinical research and previous experience in one or more of the following; vaccine administration, research methodology, clinical trial co-ordination, performing venipuncture
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational skills, strong effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to be flexible in work projects and hours of work
  • Demonstrated initiative with regards working independently and making suggestions for improvement whilst contributing effectively to the clinical trial and research team
  • Appropriate qualifications to administer vaccines or willingness to achieve same
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft computer packages (Word, Excel, Access) and familiarity with literature searching
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence based nursing practice and continuous quality improvement of nursing services
  • Previous demonstrated experience in data entry and data management, simple data analysis and technical report writing
