About the role

Working with the Research and Development team at Autism Queensland, you will:

  • Conduct literature searches and catalogue literature on topics related to services for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders
  • Write literature reviews on specific topics related to autism 
  • Assist in writing grant and ethical clearance applications
  • Assist with data entry and analysis for qualitative and quantitative research projects
  • Prepare information letters, consent forms and questionnaires for distribution to research participants
  • Assist with coordination of research projects developed by the Manager Research and Development
  • Assist with development and refinement of tools for commercialisation
  • Provide general administrative support to the Research and Development team 

This permanent part-time position will be available for up to 3 days per week and will be based at Sunnybank Hills.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum tertiary degree in Psychology or Allied Health
  • Relevant experience in a research position with demonstrated effectiveness and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodology
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in managing information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An interest and passion for autism research
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs

An understanding of statistics, capacity to use SPSS data analysis software and qualifications in research methodology will be highly regarded.

  • It is the responsibility of the employee to hold and maintain at their own expense, a current Criminal History Screening Card/s or relevant Exemption Card if/as required by current legislation*
  • Certificate of Completion in NDIS Worker Orientation Module “Quality Safety and You”*
