Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship 

  • Opportunity to research, teach and lead engagement in Entrepreneurship and to work in a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Located on the Darlington Campus
  • Full-time continuing, remuneration package: $130K-156K p.a., which includes leave loading and up to 17% superannuation
  • An additional salary supplement may be negotiated with successful applicants; and start up research funds as well as ongoing research support will be available

About the opportunity

We are looking for strong mid-career researcher with genuine ambition for high quality research, excellence in teaching, and a commitment to engagement with stakeholders beyond the University. As the successful applicant, you will join a dynamic and developing group in a highly collaborative and supportive environment.

In this position, you will:

  • contribute to the research strengths of the discipline, through regular publication in top tier international journals and securing research grants
  • develop, teach and coordinate entrepreneurship units of study (i.e. courses) to culturally diverse cohorts of undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA students
  • be academic lead to the School’s Incubator Program, GENESIS (https://www.sydney.edu.au/business/industry-and-community/community-initiatives/sydney-genesis.html)
  • supervise higher degree research students
  • be involved in multidisciplinary collaborations with the Sydney Knowledge Hub and Sydney Incubate, as well as external stakeholders
  • contribute to academic administration.

About you

  • a PhD in Entrepreneurship or closely related field
  • demonstrated experience in high quality teaching and development of entrepreneurship courses
  • an active research program in entrepreneurship with proven track record of high-quality refereed publications
  • a track record in engagement with the entrepreneurship community and ability to be the academic lead for the School’s co-curricular entrepreneurship programs
  • the ability to work successfully in a team and a commitment to a collegial approach.
