About the opportunity
The Administration Officer will report to and support the Administration Manager on human resources and staffing matters as well as recruitment activities. In addition, performs general administrative support including preparing documents, maintaining records, responding to queries, Work Health and Safety administration, exploring matters and sourcing solutions etc. for the work area. As one of the first points of contact for the office, this role requires strong administrative and organisational skills in order to coordinate and undertake a range of operational activities on an ongoing basis. The applicant must be able to work Monday and Tuesday each week although there is some flexibility from time to time.

The ACFR is based in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering (AMME) at The University of Sydney, and is dedicated to the research, development, application and dissemination of autonomous and intelligent robots and systems for operation in outdoor environments. It is now the largest robotics and automation research group in Australia and is also one of the largest of its kind in the world. It has been instrumental in developing breakthrough technologies and in conducting world-leading research and development of field robotics principles and systems.
The ACFR has a large cohort technical, research only staff and higher degree research students working on these various projects.
