  • Base Salary: $103,034 p.a. Level 8, plus a generous employer’s contribution to superannuation.  

About the opportunity 

As part of the Research Reporting, Analysis, Data & Systems (RRADS) team within the Research Portfolio, the main purpose of the position is to coordinate and develop benchmarks around the University's research performance as it relates to key global university reputation.

In this position, you will:                                                        

  • Work independently to coordinate associated projects relating to the preparation and maintenance of the data that underpins the university research information systems
  • Ensure submissions to rankings agencies and associated reporting are delivered under a project management framework
  • Develop benchmarking analysis
  • Support the Manager, External Benchmarks in coordinating team activities, providing stakeholder engagement and developing associated training and communications material.

  • Tertiary qualifications with extensive work experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience within a tertiary education setting as it relates to this role.
  • Superior high-level planning and project management skills and ability to manage large projects identifying and addressing key issues as they arise.
  • Demonstrated high-level analytical and problem-solving skills and capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated superior verbal communication and written skills to prepare presentations, communications and training materials and provide written reports.
  • Strong attention to detail in the preparation of submissions, analyses, reports and communication packs.  
  • High level skills in Office suite, SharePoint, and the ability to learn relevant office packages and systems quickly
  • Demonstrated capability in data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Bl, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge to build efficient working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work effectively within a complex orqanisational structure.

The following is desirable:

  •  Understanding of University International - Benchmark Systems
  •  Familiarity within a University environment
  •  Good working knowledge of databases and SQL
