About the opportunity  

Undertake data collection and provide technical and operational support to the Chief Investigator, Senior Research Academics and the research team for the Concord Health and Ageing in Men Project (CHAMP). CHAMP is a complex epidemiological study involving 1705 men aged 70 years and older who have been followed up for more than 10 years. This position involves visiting the study participants in their residences and completing data collection activities, as well as contributing to analysis and interpretation of data and reporting of research findings.

• undertakes data collection and specific research activity as part of the CHAMP project
• contributes to data analysis, preparation of reports and presentations and conduct of literature searches
• supports the design of research work being undertaken
• provides research administrative support
• assist in the development and submission of research publications
• ensures that ethics guidelines, standards and WHS requirements are met in the CHAMP project
• has a tertiary qualification in a field relevant to public health
