About the opportunity 

The Digital Project Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the development and maintenance of InsideOut’s digital products. This includes website, e-learning programs and other online programs such as e-therapies. The coordinator will assist with the project management and communication between the internal staff and our external design and development companies to develop digital strategies and consult on new and existing digital projects.

• Relevant degree or qualifications is desirable but not essential
• Previous experience working on digital IT projects
• Understanding of user experience and design principles
• Demonstrated skills in project management coordination and administration
• Effective written and verbal communication skills along with high level interpersonal skills

Development/ technical experience with web development platforms, applications and databases including APIs, servers and experience with trello, slack, github will be highly regarded.

The Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise & Eating Disorders is committed to reducing the individual and societal impact of obesity and lifestyle-related chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, cancer, mental illness, osteoarthritis and eating disorders. Led by key researchers across the University, the Boden Institute unites the expertise in basic, clinical, public health and policy research with the following objectives:

• To improve the quality and quantity of research addressing the interface of obesity, eating disorders, nutrition, exercise and metabolic health and clinical intervention
• To increase the opportunities for and improve the quality of teaching and training in obesity, eating disorders, nutrition, exercise and public health
• To contribute to, and directly influence, the development of improved public policy on obesity, eating disorders, nutrition and exercise at a national and international level
• To foster excellence in the clinical management of obesity, eating disorders and related chronic disease.

InsideOut Institute is Australia’s national institute for research and clinical excellence in eating disorders. The institute comprises a team of expert researchers, clinicians and public policy-makers. We currently sit within a collaboration between the Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise & Eating Disorders in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney and the Sydney Local Health District.  InsideOut receives funding from the NSW Ministry for Health, specifically for the purpose of developing and implementing strategic planning for eating disorder in NSW, including both service and workforce development.  In addition, InsideOut receives funding for research projects from organisations offering research grants.

InsideOut is a leader in eating disorder in research, clinical innovation, education and policy. InsideOut has a number of online training and therapy programs currently available or in development.  We aim to integrate these and further develop our innovative online portal providing clinical and training excellence in eating disorders.  The E-clinic is the first of its kind internationally and we are looking for a skilled digital project coordinator to work with our digital and design companies to help assist with the delivery of this project.
