About the opportunity
The Save Sight Registries (SSR) provides a scientific platform for clinicians to conduct post-marketing observational studies by capturing data from real life practice. Their aim is to evaluate the clinical effectiveness, cost effectiveness and safety of emerging therapies, enabling clinicians to design ways to reduce the incidence of blindness. SSR offers modules which focus on outcomes for the treatment of common blinding eye diseases, including neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration (nAMD), Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) and Keratoconus, with audits for other conditions to be added in the near future.
The Postdoctoral Research Associate, supported by a philanthropic donation and known as the Kornhauser Research Associate, will focus specifically on the keratonconus module, which aims to reduce blindness from corneal disease.
